Caravan Windows, Dometic Seitz, Camec, Sanjo, Blinds & Parts

Most caravan window mistakes happen before the part is chosen. Start by working out whether you are replacing a complete window, repairing an old wind-out window, matching a Dometic/Seitz or Maygood/Mobicool spare, or replacing a blind, flyscreen, latch, stay or seal. The correct path depends on the brand, opening style, cut-out size, wall thickness and hardware already fitted.

Identify the brand before choosing parts

Dometic/Seitz and Maygood/Mobicool windows are the easiest to confuse. They can look very similar from a distance, but their blades, blinds, internal frames, stays and small parts are not normally interchangeable. Check the marking on the acrylic blade, the approval label, the blind/flyscreen clips and the internal frame before ordering. Measure the window the right way

For a complete replacement, confirm the cut-out size, outside frame size, frame colour, wall thickness, corner radius and whether the window is push-out, sliding or wind-out. Some product families list the cut-out size, while the outside frame is larger. For example, Sanjo push-out windows use cut-out based sizing with the external frame 30mm larger, while Camec push-out windows use cut-out based sizing with the external frame 40mm larger. Choose complete windows by the job

Modern push-out windows such as Sanjo windows, Camec windows and EuroVision-style windows suit customers replacing a full window and wanting built-in privacy and insect protection. Compare the wall thickness range, frame depth, glazing, tint, flyscreen, blind, lockable ventilation and opening position before choosing a size.

For older vans, Aussie Traveller wind-out windows may suit replacement jobs where the existing style is close to the old Camec Odyssey, Jupiter or Australite window family. Aussie Traveller sliding windows are a different path again, often used on campervans, horse floats and simple side openings.

Repair parts need the exact window family

If the old window is repairable, do not choose stays, latches, rollers, screw caps, flyscreens, blades or internal frames by appearance alone. Match the brand and size first, then shop flyscreens and window parts or the matching brand section. Older wind-out windows often use repair parts such as winder control boxes, cross shafts, link boxes, slide locks, glazing wedge, corner inserts, dust seals and replacement flyscreens. Blinds, flyscreens and leaks are separate checks

Blinds and flyscreens are usually model-specific. Some complete windows include a matched internal blind and flyscreen, while older wind-out windows often work better with curtains because handles and winders get in the way.
