Description
This SHURflo 4009 is an automatic 12V fresh water demand pump widely used in Australian caravans, motorhomes and other recreational vehicles. Its four-chamber diaphragm and internal bypass are designed for high-flow demand, low noise and reduced cycling. The pressure switch starts the pump as system pressure falls and shuts it off at 45 psi. The pump is thermally protected, can run dry without damage and may be mounted in any position.
It is an ideal replacement for SHURflo Series 2088 pumps. This listing supplies the bulk pump only; the inlet filter/strainer and connection fittings are sold separately. A suitable inlet filter must be installed to maintain importer warranty.

These pumps have some water present as they have been fully tested by the manufacturer before being sent to Australia. The pump ports are technically 1/2-14 NPSM, but the standard Australian setup uses the listed SHURflo or 1/2 inch BSP fittings, including the John Guest 12mm adaptor.
These are not supplied in a retail box, and are as per what is supplied to the major caravan manufacturers in Australia.
These pumps are designed for internal installation only - mounting externally will void all warranty claims.
The importer will not warrant pumps where a filter has not been used, where thread tape has been used, where the thread has been tightened mechanically, or where the pump has been installed outside the body and suffered dust ingress. Additionally, the pressure switch is set at the factory. Any adjustment will be detected and void the warranty.
