Replacement carbon filter cartridge for the SHURflo Waterguard quick-change filtration system. It fits the existing filter head; the head and drinking-water tap are not included.
The carbon block disposable filter is rated at 1890 litres and filters to 0.5 micron. Replace it every 6-12 months or when its capacity is reached, whichever comes first. Changes in water taste, odour, colour or flow can indicate earlier replacement is needed.
The filter reduces chlorine taste and odour, other bad taste and odour and sediment.
After fitting a new cartridge, run water for 2-3 minutes to flush the filter. Repeat this flushing after prolonged periods without use. Water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality requires adequate disinfection before or after filtration.
