This grey top mounting bracket fixes to the RV at the upper end of the awning hardware and connects to the main rafter. It suits Dometic A&E 8300, 8500, 8700 and 9000 awnings; use the linked spare parts diagrams to confirm the bracket position.
The bracket is secured to the main rafter with a semi-tubular rivet, sold separately. Support the rivet head against a solid backing mass, expand the hollow end with a centre punch, then finish peening it with a hammer. RV mounting fasteners and tools are not included.
