If you are looking for spare parts for your Dometic awning, it is important to first identify which model you have. Here we will show you the differences between the 3 models of Dometic Roll Out Awning - 8300, 8500 & 9000.
Dometic 8300 Awnings
The easiest way to correctly identify your Dometic Awning model is to look at the roller end caps. The Dometic 8300 Awnings have a hollow roller shaft with an outside diameter of 18.5mm.
Unlike the 8300, the roller shaft for Dometic 8500 Awnings is solid and has a smaller diameter of 10mm. The 8500 also has the cap that holds the roller onto the top of the arms attached to the roller shaft.
Dometic 9000 Awnings have the same solid roller shaft and attached cap as the 8500 model. The 9000 however has aluminium sections on the first part of the canopy to protect it from the sun when rolled up.
For Dometic rollout awnings do not measure the vinyl. This is true for new awnings and for the replacement vinyl. You need to measure from the centre of the arm to the centre of the arm. See the image below
Do NOT measure the fabric
