Description

The Ampfibian RV-02MAX connects a caravan or RV's 15 A power lead to a normal household 10 A power point. Its 10 A plug connects directly to the power point, while the caravan lead's 15 A plug fits into the socket inside the adaptor. The combined appliance load must stay within 10 A (2400 W); it does not provide a 15 A supply.

The IP55 enclosure suits outdoor use, with both lids latched and the cord seals closed without gaps. It must not be submerged. Any extension lead goes between the adaptor and the caravan, not between the power point and the adaptor.

Before each use, power the adaptor with nothing connected to its outlet, switch it on and press the RCD test button marked T. The switch must trip off; do not use it if this test fails or it trips with no load connected. After a successful test, connect the caravan lead and switch the adaptor back on. If an overload causes a trip, reduce the appliance load before resetting.

Our Comments

Please note that AMPFIBIAN will NOT convert 10amps to 15amps. High current draw will cause the overload to trip.
