Description
The Winegard Sensar III is an amplified rooftop antenna kit for free-to-air VHF / UHF TV reception in caravans and motorhomes.
This is superseded by the FREEvision version, but is still offered for sale as a direct replacement for damaged or faulty Sensar III models. It is a little narrower in footprint when folded down, so may be required if replacing an existing model fitted next to a hatch or air conditioner.
Raise the antenna fully before rotating it towards the transmitter, and switch the wall-plate power supply on for antenna reception. Before lowering, align the pointer on the directional handle with the pointer on the ceiling plate, then wind the antenna fully down into its travel position. Do not travel with the antenna raised or leave it partly raised.
Features
- The 75 ohm Sensar has a built-in amplifier and unique circuitry for clear VHF/UHF reception whenever you park.
- Raise, lower and rotate the antenna from inside your parked RV.
- This antenna is installed through your roof, and needs 12 volt wiring to power the amplifier. If the coaxial outlet is to be located away from the winding handle, you will need to route the coaxial cable inside the ceiling or cover the cable below the ceiling.
- The travel height of this antenna is only 4 in above the roof, and can be elevated to 1 m.
- Bidirectional - must be pointed toward the TV station you want to watch. The antenna is made of a tough UV protected Centrex polymer and other materials that are corrosion resistant.
- It includes 6 m of 75 ohm coaxial cable, 2 m TV set cord, mounting hardware and a white on/off power supply switch. The switch has a +12 VDC receptacle, built-in two-way splitter for a second TV outlet, power on/off indicator light and a cable TV input.
- 1 year warranty.
