This Flojet inline filter (Qest-Qest) fits in the water line before the pump to catch debris before it reaches the pump. It has threaded connections at both ends rather than a plug-in quad port. The clear top lets you inspect the stainless steel wire mesh and screws off for cleaning.

Great service and prompt delivery
Fast delivery. Plasticky, like the originals. Easy installation. Maybe go the aluminium ones next time.
