The sleeve is fitted to the inside of the left end cap; it houses the left hand roller gear. It is a specialised caravan spare part used in repairs to Fiamma awnings; the spare part diagram shows its location.
The awning side is determined by looking back from outside the awning. The left hand side will generally be at the front of the van.
