Replacement thermal cut-off for Atwood electronic-ignition hot water systems. This inline heat-sensitive fuse interrupts the control circuit and shuts down ignition if excessive heat reaches it, such as when a blocked burner or flue causes flame to burn outside the burner tube. It is a separate safety device, not the thermostat that controls water temperature.
The cut-off operates once and cannot be reset; replace it after it trips. Before fitting a replacement, remove any burner or flue obstructions and check burner alignment so the cause of overheating does not trip the new cut-off.
