White 75 ohm surface-mounted PAL coaxial socket for a caravan TV antenna connection, suitable for external fitting with sealing against water entry.
The incoming coaxial cable connects directly to the socket rather than plugging into a rear connector. Strip the cable to the manufacturer's wiring diagram, fit the sleeve between the dielectric insulation and cable shield, and push the cable into the socket so the centre conductor engages the centre contact. Secure the shield connection by crimping the supplied ferrule with a suitable crimping tool or pliers; no soldering is required.
The cable can be fed through the wall and terminated at an interior socket or wall plate of your choosing, using an F-connector or PAL fitting as required.
Q. Does this unit require the hole at the back to be sealed with silastic?
A: Yes, it will require a product to seal the unit against water entry.
