This is a John Guest Watermark certified Speedfit Twist & Lock 12mm Stem Tee. The stem fitting can be coupled with push-on fittings to create custom fittings as required.
It can be used on the standard John Guest Speedfit tubing (LLDPE) and the Watermark 12mm tubing (BPEX). Ensure you use the matching pipe inserts with each style tubing, i.e. DO NOT use Watermark inserts with standard John Guest Speedfit tubing (LLDPE).
Simply push the fitting fully onto the pipe and twist the plastic nut clockwise to lock in place. Should the need arise to demount the connection, unlock the nut, push the collet towards the body of the fitting and pull the pipe to release.
The introduction of the WaterMark range was prompted by changes in Victorian plumbing legislation back in 2017, mandating the use of WaterMark certified products on hot water lines in all new caravans and motorhomes manufactured within Victoria. The rest of Australia has not adopted the standard and the original Speedfit range has remained the dominant style.
