Description

Replacement gas strut with a 585 mm extended length, 345 mm compressed length, 470 N force, 8 mm shaft and fitted 10 mm ball-joint ends. Length is measured centre to centre between the ball joints.

Features

  • Meets German DIN standard.
  • The force marking can be compared with the existing strut; 470 N is approximately 48 kg-force for a practical compression check using bathroom scales. This is the strut's axial force rather than the supported lid or bed weight, as mounting geometry and the number of struts also affect operation.
  • The ball-joint ends may be replaced with compatible threaded ends where a different mounting style is required. Match the replacement end to the thread beneath the existing fitting; shaft diameter alone does not identify the thread size.
  • 2 year warranty.
