Fiamma F45 VW T2 & T3 drip-rail bracket kit. Suits VW T3 after 1980. Will also suit other vehicles that have a drip rail with a similar profile - ensure there is a position that does not prevent door opening. Each bracket is 80mm wide, and comes down 75mm below the drip rail. They should be located within 500mm of the awning ends, with both brackets aligned with the awning's rear "SUPPORT" markings at the arm attachment points. Distance from the ends alone does not determine the correct mounting position. The brackets must be aligned with each other; use spacers if needed to achieve alignment. This bracket clamps onto the drip rail and has rubber protection on the lower brace.
When fitting a 2.6m Fiamma F45 to a T3: It is worth noting the brackets on a VW T3 can only be placed in two locations on the van, and the centre points on the brackets where the hole should be drilled lie underneath the shock absorbers on the 2.6m Fiamma F45s.
No drilling into the vehicle is required, but the awning case must be drilled to secure it to the brackets with the supplied M5 fixings. After the first few kilometres, and periodically afterwards, check that the bolts remain tight and the brackets have not shifted.
