This 50A automatic-reset circuit breaker protects low-voltage DC circuits from overload and short circuit. It trips to interrupt the circuit, then reconnects automatically after it cools.
Install it in the positive supply lead near the battery or other power source-not between positive and negative. The differently coloured studs are the two ends of that lead, not positive and negative terminals. Where the breaker is marked BAT and AUX, connect BAT to the source positive and AUX to the circuit being protected; check the markings on the breaker rather than relying on stud colour alone. Isolate the supply before connecting the leads and insulate exposed live connections. If a fault remains, this automatic-reset breaker can repeatedly disconnect and reconnect the circuit until the fault is corrected or power is disconnected.
