Review of Caravans Plus Service
Thanks guys once again quick service and delivery and parts as advertised Cheers Nev
Why choose Truma? Well, apart from their reliability, these hot water systems are so easy to use that even your dog could probably figure it out (though we don't recommend letting Fido near the controls).
Deciding between gas and gas/electric models can feel like choosing between chocolate and vanilla. Both are great, but your choice depends on your needs. Gas models are perfect for the purists, while gas/electric models are like the Swiss Army knife of hot water systems-versatile and ready for any situation.
Consider your caravan size and how much you hate waiting for a warm shower. If patience isn't your virtue, the gas/electric model might just be your new best friend.
Installing a Truma system isn't rocket science, but it's not exactly changing a lightbulb either. From my experience, success lies in following the instructions as if they were a recipe for your favourite cake-precision is key. Make sure you have all the right tools and perhaps a buddy who's good at following directions.
Avoid common pitfalls like installing the system upside down (yes, it happens!). A level installation is crucial unless you enjoy cold showers that come with a side of frustration.
Regular maintenance is the secret sauce to prolonging the life of your Truma system. Think of it like giving your car a regular oil change, but with less grease and more hot water bliss. Regular checks for leaks, listening for odd noises, and occasional TLC can go a long way.
Don't forget to winterise your system-this is key if you're not a fan of frozen pipes. Essentially, it's like tucking your caravan in for a long winter nap. Ensure you have the right Gas Accessories and other essentials to keep your system in top shape.
Feeling handy? Many common issues with Truma systems can be fixed with a few tools and a positive attitude. Start with the basics: check for obstructions in the vents or ensure the gas supply is flowing smoothly.
If you're stuck, our spare parts diagram is like your treasure map to DIY success. It's detailed and easy to follow, much less confusing than your last flat-pack furniture ordeal. When Dometic informed Caravans Plus that delivery of the fridges had been delayed , CP immediately contacted me of the situation, apologising but offering options of changing or cancelling the order, or waiting for delivery. I chose to wait. They kept me informed every step of the way and ensured that Dometic shipped a fridge to me as soon as they had them. Great service and once again can recommend them
Great service
