This AL-KO Premium extra-height jockey wheel uses a 200 mm solid tyre and a zinc-plated 48 mm tube. Its taller body suits caravans and trailers needing extra drawbar height, including sloping sites, while the larger wheel is better suited to soft or uneven ground than a 150 mm wheel.
It provides 265 mm of screw extension and has a 400 kg static capacity. The closed-to-open ground clearance at one clamping height is 370-635 mm; using the alternate clamping height gives a maximum ground-to-drawbar-centre height of 767 mm. A mounting clamp is not included. The related AL-KO extra-wide clamp can increase the rated static capacity to 500 kg.
Important - Jockey wheels are not designed to be used to manoeuvre in their extended position. The strength of the shaft is greatly reduced in the extended position and it is likely to bend or break during movement. The correct method is to lower as far as possible without preventing the wheel from pivoting before moving. Lowering the jockey wheel will make it safer and easier to manoeuvre.
