The outlet has three leads:
• Red – 12V positive to power the USB charger
• Black – 0V negative/earth
• Yellow – 12V positive for the blue indicator LED
Join the yellow to the red if you want the LED lit whenever the socket is powered. Leave the yellow insulated and unused if you prefer no illumination. The charger works normally with just the red and black connected.
