Safe-T-Alert LP Gas Detector 12V

Description

The Safe-T-Alert LP gas detector is a compact, surface-mounted propane alarm for caravans and motorhomes, powered directly from the RV's 12 V DC supply. It needs continuous power to detect gas; connect it to a fused circuit that cannot be turned off by a wall switch.

Mount it near potential gas-leak sources, 100-500 mm above the floor, with unobstructed airflow. Keep it at least 300 mm from exterior doors, opening windows and heating or return vents. Disconnect power before connecting the wiring.

Allow two minutes after power-up before gas detection is available. The TEST/MUTE button tests the alarm circuit, not the gas sensor. Test weekly, before each trip and after storage. Do not spray cleaners or wax directly onto the detector: they can trigger an alarm, damage the sensor or cause a malfunction.
