We have tested these on iPhone and Android operating systems. You may need to connect (pair) via your system settings prior to using the downloadable app, as was the case in our Android test. Android also stated it could not connect as it did not have a passcode. The unit does not need a passcode, and connecting via Android settings seemed to work.
You are also able to connect directly via your phone's Bluetooth settings, and avoid the app altogether. We tried using Google Play Music, which worked flawlessly.
