This CMS mounting block (mounting spacer) is designed to suit the CMS C-Series power point (C type GPO) and provides a stand-off behind the fitting for a neater, more practical installation.
Commonly used where extra clearance is needed for the rear of the outlet and its plug-in interconnecting leads, it helps when the available wall cavity depth is limited and you need additional room behind the power point.
