This test point is located immediately downstream from the regulator. It is compulsory in some states and recommended by Caravans Plus for all installations.
It allows the user to easily test that gas is coming through the regulator and that it is at reduced pressure.

TEST POINTS REQUIRED ON GAS SYSTEMS
When gas is supplied for the first time or by a new supplier, the gas supplier must ensure that a test point is located on or immediately downstream from the regulator. This should be used to test for leaks and to pressure test the system.
