This genuine Hayman Reese Dual Cam HP sway controller is designed for compatible Standard and Classic weight distribution hitches made since 2011, identified by spring bars with an integrated cam ripple or detent near the end. It does not suit Reese Mk I or Mk II hitches.
The two cam arms locate against the spring-bar detents to resist sway as it starts while still allowing normal movement between the tow vehicle and trailer. Once installed on the trailer, routine hitch-up does not require readjustment unless the ball weight, tow-vehicle loading or weight-distribution setup changes.
For steel trailer frames only; not for aluminium frames. The supplied hardware supports tubular and C-channel steel-frame installation. The spring-bar chains and U-bolts are transferred from the compatible weight-distribution hitch and are not supplied with this kit.
