This is a replacement gas shock kit to suit the Carefree Altitude awning; it is shown as #1 on the spare part diagram.
The Carefree Altitude awning is an electric RV awning with scissor-style arms. Replacing a shock involves drilling out the arm-stop rivets and supporting the roller tube and arm. The pressurised shock can extend rapidly when released.
