This chrome-plated gas bayonet socket provides a floor- or wall-mounted connection for a male bayonet gas hose serving low-pressure appliances such as barbecues. The gas supply connects to the 1/2 inch female BSP inlet underneath the mounting base.
For an installation using a 5/16 inch SAE connection, use a 1/2 inch male BSP x 3/8 inch female BSP reducing bush, followed by the 5/16 inch male SAE x 3/8 inch male BSP adaptor shown under Related Products. These fittings are separate from the socket kit. The related adaptor does not screw directly into the socket without the reducing bush.
