The emergency crank handle makes it easy to operate the Black Jack manually should you lose power.
Remove the jack's crank cap and fit the handle onto the shaft inside the housing. On the Maxi, hold the handle firmly before releasing the brake underneath the motor with the brake lever. Under load, releasing the brake without controlling the handle can let the jack lower freely and the handle spin.
Turn clockwise to extend the leg or anticlockwise to retract it. On the Maxi, re-lock the brake before removing the handle. Replace the crank cap after use.
