The Dometic BAW3000 is a wall-mounted manual cassette awning for caravans and motorhomes, designed to provide shade and weather protection while the vehicle is stationary. It uses double-sided UV-protected vinyl fabric, with telescopic support legs stored inside the lead rail and a supplied hand crank for single-person operation.
A European-designed gearbox, heavy-duty torsion springs and a solid metal shaft provide smooth extension and retraction.
It can be installed on a flat, vertical vehicle wall using the supplied width-specific mounting plates, brackets and fasteners, or attached to an existing side piping rail. Curved walls require suitable specific brackets and support at the fastening points. Installation also requires suitable flexible adhesive/sealant, cleaner, primer and acid-free silicone, and two people are needed to lift and hook the awning into position.
The awning is intended for moderate conditions. Retract it for strong winds, prolonged heavy rain or snow, and prevent water or snow from pooling on the fabric.
Available in four widths from 2.6 m to 4.0 m and with black or white cassette finishes, the BAW3000 shares the mounting footprint of the Dometic PerfectWall PW1500 and works with existing accessories such as the Dometic Anti-Flap Kit and Curved Roof Rafter.
