Description

The Dometic AS1625 is a current-style upper and lower wall vent kit for Dometic 3-way absorption refrigerators up to 100 L. The lower grille admits cool air behind the fridge, while the upper grille releases warmed air and provides the outlet for the flue connection.

The kit includes both mounting frames and removable grilles, the upper right-hand flue insert, and the aluminium flue tube and plate. The separate TP flue T-piece kit is required to connect the refrigerator flue to the supplied tube and includes one extension. Add TPX extensions only when the installation needs more height.

Installation and replacement

Each frame requires a 451 x 156 mm wall cut-out. Current-style grilles do not fit earlier mounting frames, but the complete kit can replace an older A1625 or AS1625 set where the existing cut-outs match.

The aluminium tube and plate fit into the small section of the upper vent, with the tube sloping down towards the refrigerator flue. The two mounting frames are secured with 10 screws in total.

Sealant recommendations: If your caravan is aluminium-clad, use strip caulk. If it is fibreglass, use thin foam tape from Bunnings or the like.
