The BMPRO TrailSafe ushers in a new era of break-away systems. These highly effective safety systems are not only the most compact units on the market, they incorporate simple installation and Bluetooth connectivity.
The clever units utilise your RV's house battery to power the emergency system. By removing the need for a separate power source the BMPRO TrailSafe consists solely of a compact break-away switch which is mounted directly onto the draw bar. This mounting location provides easy access to your existing electrical circuit for minimal installation requirement. Utilising the RV's house battery not only provides a larger power source which are generally well maintained, it frees up much desired space from duplicate componentry within the RV.
For those requiring a remote monitor the optional TrailCheck is a wireless monitor which connects to the TrailSafe via Bluetooth. This intelligent unit is powered via your standard car cigarette lighter plug and allows you to transfer between multiple tow vehicles without additional installations.
Breakaway kits are required on all caravans or trailers that exceed 2000kg that use electric brakes. The unit will engage the caravan's brakes if the caravan detaches from the tow vehicle.
Nothing wrong with the product, but the postage was an issue. I ordered express postage as i needed the item by the weekend, and was told by sending it by express post it would arrive on the Friday. Having paid for this, i then received notification it wouldnt arrive until Tuesday the week after, so really the express option was useless. The item was expensive anyway and very small, so why was postage so dear?
