This bracket is used to attach the upper brace to the van wall. It can be used on either the left or right side. It is a commonly used caravan spare part for repairs to Carefree awnings; the spare part diagram shows its location.
To install: Start to splay the rivet end with a hole punch (or bevel the end of an old screwdriver to 45°). Once started, it will continue to splay with taps from a hammer while the rear is against something solid.
