Description

AL-KO's Premium range of jockey wheels with swivel brackets enables quick and easy uncoupling of your caravan or trailer. Simply pull the release handle and the jockey wheel rotates between upright and travelling positions. This time-saving feature means you do not need to remove and store the jockey wheel.

Made from high-quality materials with a 400 kg static capacity, the range includes multiple bracket options and wheel sizes from 150 mm to 250 mm. The swivel bracket can be welded or bolted to the drawbar using suitable fasteners.

The AL-KO 628204 is a standard-height jockey wheel with a small swivel bracket and a 200 mm (8 inch) solid tyre. Its zinc-plated 48 mm tube extends from 570 mm closed to 820 mm open. Ground clearance measured from the ground to the centre of the swivel bracket ranges from 305 mm closed to 522 mm open.

The small bracket can be welded to a 100 mm A-frame or U-bolted to a 50 mm A-frame such as those commonly used on box trailers. The 200 mm wheel assists movement over soft or uneven ground once the trailer is detached.

Important - Jockey wheels are not designed to be used to manoeuvre in their extended position. The strength of the shaft is greatly reduced in the extended position and it is likely to bend or break during movement. The correct method is to lower as far as possible without preventing the wheel from pivoting before moving. Lowering the jockey wheel will make it safer and easier to manoeuvre.
