This AL-KO Premium standard-height jockey wheel uses a 150 mm solid tyre and a zinc-plated 48 mm tube. It suits caravans and trailers that need limited manoeuvring after uncoupling; for softer or uneven ground, a larger-diameter wheel is easier to move.
It provides 265 mm of screw extension and has a 400 kg static capacity. The closed-to-open ground clearance at one clamping height is 202-467 mm; using the alternate clamping height gives a maximum ground-to-drawbar-centre height of 649 mm. A mounting clamp is not included. The related AL-KO extra-wide clamp can increase the rated static capacity to 500 kg.
Important - Jockey wheels are not designed to be used to manoeuvre in their extended position. The strength of the shaft is greatly reduced in the extended position and it is likely to bend or break during movement. The correct method is to lower as far as possible without preventing the wheel from pivoting before moving. Lowering the jockey wheel will make it safer and easier to manoeuvre.
