The Thetford N4141A is a slimline absorption fridge/freezer for caravans and motorhomes, with a lower drawer for bottles and vegetables. Its 3-way operation lets you use gas when camping without mains power, 240V at powered sites, or 12V while travelling.
Automatic energy selection chooses an available power source, or you can select one manually using the LCD control panel. The cooling unit has no moving parts, while three thermostatically controlled fans assist cooling in warmer conditions. The reversible door provides flexibility when planning the layout.
12V cooling is intended for travelling with the vehicle engine running and requires an engine-running (D+) signal. The controls also need a continuous 12V supply when cooling on gas or 240V. Automatic operation includes a 15-minute delay before gas operation after the engine is switched off.
For initial cooling, level the vehicle and run the fridge on gas or 240V for at least eight hours before loading pre-cooled food. Installation requires two external wall vents and a separately sold Thetford independent flue kit, with the rear installation space sealed from the living area.
