Stabilus Lift-O-Mat are high quality non-locking gas struts that are commonly used by leading caravan manufacturers like Jayco.
Length is determined by measuring between centres of ball joints when extended.
Stroke is the difference between the extended and compacted lengths.
Newton force is clearly labelled on struts. 100 N roughly equates to 10 kg
When installing a gas strut the cylinder should be at the highest point, not the shaft. This is because the gas strut cylinder houses a small amount of oil responsible for keeping the seal lubricated and oiling the shaft as it passes through the seal.
So accommodating with my request, quick response and follow up on the tracking of the product, will definitely be my go to for my next caravan update 😊
Parts took a while due to supplier issues - however, Caravan Plus kept me updated during the whole process and I successfully received my parts in good order.
