Description

The Sphere 175 Litre Upright DC Compressor Fridge/Freezer is a practical mid-size cooling solution designed for caravans, motorhomes, and boats running on 12V DC power. Designed for installation in a fitted cavity, this model has a 38 L freezer above a 137 L fridge section, offering a total of 175 L storage for off-grid adventures.

Built around a DC compressor, the unit is optimised for energy efficiency, drawing as little as 0.60 kWh in night mode and 0.78 kWh in boost mode over a 24-hour period (at 25°C). The digital control panel lets you set temperatures and choose between Night and Boost modes, while its single-stage low-voltage protection switches the fridge off if the supply voltage falls too low. Internal layout features include adjustable shelves, door bins, a crisper drawer, and LED lighting to keep food organised and visible.

The reversible door and optional panel inserts make installation flexible. Keep the top ventilation grille and rear compressor airflow clear, using one of the ventilation arrangements illustrated in the manual. A built-in internal fan supports even cooling throughout the cabinet, and the appliance is rated for tropical conditions (climate class T/ST).

After positioning the fridge, leave it standing for 2-6 hours before switching it on, then allow about four hours of cooling before loading food. The freezer is intended to keep pre-frozen food frozen, rather than quick-freeze fresh food.
