S-Core Series is the absolute best quality available. It is made with a corrugated stainless steel inner core which is very flexible, yet will not collapse or deteriorate from the gas or elements. Around that is the braided stainless steel, and that is then further protected by a durable PVC sleeve.
Specialty pigtail to suit the LCC27 valve which will be fitted to new and retested gas cylinders from April 2022. This hose has a 1/4 male inverted flare (also defined as 7/16 UNF male) which fits into the changeover valve on a twin cylinder setup.
The new style hoses with the LCC27 fitting can only be used with a matching cylinder; they are not compatible with POL valve cylinders. This may be impractical for some setups at this stage. While existing older style gas hoses with the POL fitting are compatible with the new LCC27 valve cylinders it is considered best practice to update to the new style when practical and existing hoses require replacing.
The new style LCC27 hoses will not connect to gas cylinders which have a POL valve. This means if you are using SWAP'n'GO cylinders on your travels you need to be confident in the availability of the new style cylinders. The complete rollout is over a 10 year period with the existing cylinders being updated as they come up for retesting (every 10 years). With this in mind it may be a few years before the new LCC27 cylinders become the dominant style.
