This John Guest stem adaptor connects a 3/8 inch female BSP threaded port to a separate 12mm push-on fitting. The 3/8 inch male thread screws into the port, while the smooth 12mm stem pushes into the receiving fitting in the same way as 12mm pipe.
Choose this stem version when combining two fittings or creating a swivel-type connection. The stem does not accept 12mm pipe directly; a push-on adaptor is required for a direct pipe connection.
