Description

Many vehicles are not designed to allow electrical towing equipment to be directly connected to rear lighting circuits. In these cases a trailer ECU is used to overcome the problems associated with connecting trailer circuits to a vehicle.

This is SmartClick ECU 2. Select it where the instructions for the vehicle and fitted loom specify ECU 2, matching the vehicle model, build date and variant. Its 12-way connection is not unique to ECU 2, so connector appearance alone is not a basis for substituting ECU 1, ECU 4 or another module.
