The Dometic RUC6404X Core gives you generous fridge and freezer storage without adding premium features you may not need. Its 180 litre two-door cabinet includes a 134 litre refrigerator and a separate 46 litre freezer, making it a practical value choice for couples, families and longer trips.
Straightforward LED soft-touch controls keep day-to-day operation simple, while Performance, Quiet, Eco and Turbo modes let you adjust how the fridge runs. Fan-assisted air circulation helps distribute cold air and recover the set temperature after the refrigerator door has been opened.
This Core model runs from 12V or 24V DC only. Choose it when dependable T-rated cooling, useful storage and value matter more than the full RUC6508X model's built-in AC input, colour TFT rotary control and doors that open from either side.
When converting from a Dometic RUA6408X three-way fridge, the RUC6404X is a practical dimensional retrofit candidate. Both have the same 550mm wide x 1447mm high x 677mm deep overall dimensions, while the RUC6404X external-vent recess is the same width and height and requires 10mm less minimum depth. Confirm the actual cavity and door clearance before ordering, and treat the installation as a conversion rather than a plug-in swap.
The existing absorption-fridge vents can be retained only when their positions and the rear air channel comply with a ventilation arrangement in the RUC6404X manual. The conversion also requires a suitable battery and charging system, DC cable sized for its run length, and positive-side circuit protection at the battery. The old LPG connection, flue and any unsuitable fridge wiring are not used by this DC-only model and must be safely isolated or removed.
The doors can be set up to open from the left or right during installation, but they do not open from both sides in everyday use. The required cabinet height depends on whether the fridge uses external rear or roof venting, internal ventilation or top ventilation. Ventilation grilles or kits, any AC adaptor and vehicle wiring are separate; a drain hose, bottom trim piece and sealing strip are supplied with the fridge.
