Description

This Breha spring-loaded scissor lifter raises and supports the roof of a pop-top caravan or camper. It has a 900mm channel and a softer spring rated to support up to 30kg of roof per lifter, with up to 685mm of lift.

Keep the lifter restrained before cutting its transport tape, as spring tension can force the mechanism open suddenly.

Features

• Each lifter will hold up 30 kg of roof, with the soft spring included.
• The bottom bracket measures 900 mm long, and it can lift to a maximum height of 685 mm.
• When replacing, it is best to replace opposite lifters at the same time to prevent undue stress which will bend the arms. These are stronger than the tubular arms.
• CARE - when fitting, ensure they are replaced in the same direction as they were i.e. if the fixed corner is on the right, replace it with the fixed corner on the right. This will vary for each side.
• The enlargement shows the bracket closed. The vertical height when closed is 70 mm and the width is 45 mm. The image shows the mounting holes in the vertical face, and there are also holes in the horizontal faces for alternate mounting.
• We do not recommend replacing the scissor style with the gas struts and alternate ends as it can take quite a lot of experimenting in position, which involves new holes being drilled each time as the opposing forces must be balanced to have correct location when up as well as when down.

Our Comments

We have two different types of 900 mm wide canopy lifters and the mount holes are in slightly different places.

The tubular lifter measures 927 mm in length when closed with mount hole centres 900 mm apart.

The Breha have flat bars and measure 900 mm in length with mount hole centres 860 mm apart.
