Replacement freezer door that suits Dometic RM2453, RM2553, RM2455 and RM2555 fridges.
There is a knack to replacing these. Pull the hinges out from the sides of the freezer box, but do not totally remove the door. Rotate them forward. Line up the crosses on the door with the crosses on the hinges that attach to the door. When you have the new door in, and in the closed position, you need to wind the hinges back to maintain the spring tension. It is a good idea to have a second set of hands.
NOTE: Sometimes the seal on these doors can be delivered slightly compressed. According to Dometic this is normal. Simply remove the two-part pin at the top of the door, remove the seal gently and immerse in a warm sink of water for around 10-15 minutes. The seal will regain its original shape.
These are brand new as supplied by Dometic. We are aware that some customers will be concerned there are slight marks on the flap giving it a second-hand appearance. They are brand new and unfortunately this seems to be up to Dometic's standard of supply.
