Intended Use
The Truma E-Kit is designed exclusively for installation and operation in caravans (vehicle class O), motorcaravans (vehicle class M1), and mobile homes. It is crucial to ensure that the appliance is used within these specified environments to maintain safety and functionality.
Safety Instructions
- Installation and Repairs: Only qualified, trained personnel should install or repair the Truma E-Kit. These individuals must have professional training, knowledge, and experience with Truma products and relevant standards.
- Hazards: Be aware of potential overheating risks. Do not cover the heater or obstruct air intake openings, the installation location opening, or the space around the appliance.
- Warranty and Liability: Unauthorized modifications, use of non-original Truma parts, or non-compliance with installation and operating instructions will void warranty, guarantee, and potentially the vehicle's operation permit.
- Storage: Do not store heat-sensitive or flammable materials near the appliance due to the risk of higher temperatures.
- Children and Appliance Safety: Children under 3 should be kept away unless supervised. Children aged 3-8 may operate the appliance under supervision and if they understand the risks. Children must not play with the appliance.
- Altitude Use: The Truma E-Kit is not to be used at altitudes above 2000 meters.
- Power Supply: Use only pure sinusoidal sources for the power supply to prevent damage.
- Power Cable: If damaged, the power cable must be replaced by a qualified person to avoid hazards.

Start-Up
- Remove the cowl cover (if present).
- Open the gas cylinder and the quick-acting valve.
- Connect to the power supply (12V and 230V).
- Select the operating mode and set the desired temperature.
Initial Start-Up
Turn on the power supply.
For system initialization, navigate to Service menu -> RESET -> PR SET on the control panel.
The control panel will recognize and record the connected appliances.
Operation
The Truma E-Kit is operated via the Truma CP plus VarioHeat control panel. Refer to the Truma CP plus VarioHeat control panel manual for detailed operating instructions.
Operating Modes
- Electrical Operation (EL): Uses only the Truma E-Kit for heating. EL1 mode uses 900W, and EL2 uses 1800W for heating.
- Mixed Mode (MIX): Combines the Truma E-Kit with the Truma VarioHeat for heating. MIX1 adds 900W, and MIX2 adds 1800W to the heating power of the Truma VarioHeat.
- Gas Mode (GAS): Utilizes only the Truma VarioHeat for heating.
Troubleshooting and Service
In case of issues, consult with Service Australia or the relevant service partners in other countries. Having the equipment model and serial number ready will facilitate the service process.
