General Safety Warnings

• Freeze Warning: Drain heater if subjected to freezing temperatures.
• Installation Warning: Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service, or maintenance can cause injury or property damage. Consult this manual or an authorized installer/service agency for assistance.
• Combustible Materials: Do not store or use petrol or other combustible materials near this heater. Unsuitable for use as a pool heater.
• Supervision: Not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision.

• Inlet/Outlet Locations: Hot water inlet 70mm from top dead center, cold water inlet 55mm from bottom dead center.

Installation Requirements

• Water Connections: Install a tempering valve or similar device. Connect water lines to the rear of the unit using suitable fittings. Do not glue metal fittings. Ensure plastic fill tubes inside each fitting are not removed.
• Electrical Connections: Must conform to local authority regulations. Disconnect the appliance from the supply after installation. Use a dedicated circuit breaker. Ensure the water heater tank is filled before turning on the circuit breaker.
• Positioning: Do not install with the door facing toward the forward end of the coach. Keep at least 25mm clearance from combustible materials.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• General: Check wiring and connections regularly. Inspect anode rods every 6 months and replace if below 50% of original diameter. Operate the water system periodically, at least twice per week.
• Pressure Relief Valve: Operate at least once every 6 months to remove lime deposits and verify it is not blocked.
• Water Weeping or Dripping: May occur from the Pressure & Temperature Relief Valve due to expansion of heated water. To reduce, maintain an air pocket at the top of the water heater tank.
• Anode Protection: Use only genuine Suburban anode rods. Check every 6 months and replace if necessary.
• Draining and Storage: Drain the heater if the unit is to be stored or subjected to freezing temperatures.

Operating Instructions

• Before Use: Ensure the tank is filled with water. Do not operate if any part has been submerged under water.
• To Turn Off: Switch the circuit breaker to "OFF" and unplug the appliance. Drain the water heater if subjected to freezing temperatures.

Troubleshooting Guide

• Will Not Come On: Check if the switch is "ON" and for electrical supply interruption.
• Not Enough Hot Water/Too Hot: Check the thermostat position and ensure it is properly mounted.

Warranty

• Duration: 24 months from the date of purchase.
• Coverage: Defects in material and workmanship under normal use and maintenance.

• Procedure: Contact Coast to Coast RV Services with proof of purchase for warranty service.
