Safety Precautions
Gas Leak Procedure
- Do not attempt to light any appliance.
- Avoid touching electrical switches.
- Do not use phones within the vicinity.
- Immediately contact your gas supplier from a neighbor's phone and follow their instructions.
Freeze Warning
- Drain the heater if exposed to freezing temperatures to prevent damage.
General Safety

Installation Instructions
General
- Ensure the installation conforms to local codes and regulations.
- Use industrial-grade silicone for sealing.
- Do not install the water heater with the door facing forward in the coach.
- Ensure the vent is not obstructed by any door on the trailer.
- Consult the manufacturer before installing on vinyl siding.
- The appliance must be installed by authorized personnel following the manufacturer's instructions and local regulations.
Water Connections
- Install a tempering valve or similar device to control delivery temperature.
- Use suitable fittings for hot and cold water connections. Do not glue metal fittings.
- Ensure the tank is filled with water before operation.
Gas Connections
- Use a 3/8” flare fitting for the gas supply.
- Ensure all connections are air-tight to prevent moisture and flue products from entering the living area.
Electrical Connections
- For 12 Volts D.C. models, refer to the wiring diagram for proper connection.
- For 240 Volts A.C. models, ensure the connection conforms to local electrical codes. Use a dedicated circuit breaker.
Maintenance
Anode Protection
- Check the anode every 6 months and replace if necessary.
- Draining the tank when not in use can extend anode life.
Pressure Relief Valve
- Operate the valve every 6 months to remove lime deposits and verify it's not blocked.
Winterizing
- Drain the heater to prevent damage in freezing temperatures.
- Use a bypass kit if available to exclude the heater when adding antifreeze to the system.
Troubleshooting
- Ensure the gas and electrical supplies are turned on.
- Check for tripped ECO reset button.
- Verify the gas valve and ignition system are functioning correctly.
- For electric models, ensure the heater is filled with water before energizing the heating element.
Operating Instructions
- Fill the tank with water before use.
- For gas models, turn on the gas supply and use the ignition switch to light the burner.
- For electric models, turn on the circuit breaker to energize the heating element.
- Regularly check for gas leaks using a soap and water solution.
