MAXXAIR® SKYMAXX LX Rooflight Installation and Operation Guide

Installation Requirements:

Roof Opening Size: 700 mm x 500 mm (27.56 in. x 19.70 in.)
Roof Thickness Compatibility:
97100iA & 97110iA: 23 mm to 42 mm (1.0 inch to 1.65 inches)
97000iA & 97010iA: 42 mm to 60 mm (1.65 inches to 2.36 inches)
Electrical Requirements: Minimum 12 Volt DC, 2 amp service. Circuit must be fused and use appropriate gauge, stranded wire. Wall Control for LED lights must be provided by the installer.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare Roof Opening: Remove old vent and sealant around the opening.
2. Apply Sealant: Use a flexible non-hardening sealing compound on the underside of the flange.
3. Insert Rooflight: Place with the hinged section facing the front, press down to seal.
4. Seal Exterior: Apply a bead of sealer around the perimeter of the flange.
5. Determine Screw Length: Measure roof thickness, add 1.9mm for ceiling flange thickness.
6. Install Ceiling Flange: Align and press into the opening.
7. Secure Flanges: Use appropriate length screws, avoid overtightening.
8. Optional Ceiling Screws: Install if necessary to prevent gapping.
9. Assemble Interior Shroud: Align and press to secure.

Operation Instructions:

Ventilation: Move pull bars in opposite directions to open screen and shade. Use the handle to raise the lid to the desired position.
Closing: Move the handle from the slot and push above the button to lock the lid.
LED Lighted Models: Controlled by a wall switch (not provided).

User Servicing Instructions:

Clean with mild soap and water only. Avoid abrasive materials.
Keep the screen and/or shade covering the Rooflight opening when open.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

Ensure all connections are secure and the sealant is intact for proper operation.
Regularly check for debris or obstructions that could prevent the Rooflight from closing or opening smoothly.
For LED models, ensure the wall control is properly connected and the circuit is not overloaded.

Safety Warnings:

Close the Rooflight before transporting or moving the caravan.
Disconnect main vehicle power before connecting 12 volt DC power.
Use the unit only as intended by AIRXCEL, INC. For general ventilation only, not for exhausting hazardous or explosive materials or vapors.

Additional Notes:

For installation of SKYMAXX LX Plus Rooflight, follow the same steps, ensuring to connect the 12 volt DC power supply wires to the LED light wires as described.
The Rooflight must be closed prior to transporting or moving the caravan.
