This guide is designed for customer service and technical staff to assist customers or perform the re-hinging of the Dometic RM2350 refrigerator door. This process involves changing the door swing direction.

Installation Procedure

1. Preparation

• Remove the cover: Start by removing the refrigerator's cover to access the components.
• Detach knobs: Push to detach the two knobs from the unit.

2. Top Decoration Panel Removal

• Unscrew: Lift the lid of the refrigerator and unscrew the two screws holding the top decoration panel in place. Keep the screws for reinstallation.
• Pry away knobs: Use a screwdriver to gently pry away the knobs and set them aside.
• Disengage seal strips: Carefully remove the seal strips from the panel.
• Panel removal: Take off the panel and place it on a soft material to prevent scratches.

3. Hinge Pins and Hinge Removal

• Upper hinge pin: Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the upper hinge pin. Keep the pin for later use.
• Door removal: Lift the door off the lower hinge pin and place it on a soft protective material.
• Lower hinge pin: Remove the lower hinge pin and keep it for later use.
• Lower hinge: Unscrew the three screws holding the lower hinge and remove it. Keep the screws.

4. Reinstallation on Opposite Side

• Screw holes: Remove the plugs covering the screw holes on the opposite side of the current hinge location.
• New hinge placement: Insert the new hinge pin into the hinge hole on the opposite side and secure it with the previously removed screws.
• Plugs: Insert plugs to cover the screw holes on the now unused side.
• Upper hinge removal: Unscrew and remove the upper hinge, keeping the screws for later use.

5. Travel Catch and Hinge Reinstallation

• Travel catch removal: Remove the travel catch by unscrewing the two screws. Note the position of the screws for correct reinstallation.
• Catch reinstallation: Flip the catch and reinstall it on the opposite side.
• New hinge installation: Install the new hinge and fasten it with two screws.

6. Door Reinstallation

• Lock plate and plug: Locate the door, unscrew, and remove the lock plate and plug. Replace them in opposite positions.
• Door placement: Place the door on the lower hinge pin. Insert the upper hinge pin in the hinge hole and tighten with a socket wrench. Close the door to check alignment.

7. Finishing Touches

• Top decoration panel: Reinstall the top decoration panel and secure it with the two screws. Reattach the two knobs.
• Seal strips: Return the seal strips to their original position.
• Door operation check: Open and close the door several times to ensure it is installed properly and operates smoothly.
