Screwdriver
Screw cover remover (for C200 toilets)
For C200 models, begin by removing the two screw covers. Use a gentle levering action to avoid damage.
Unscrew the 8 screws on the seal cover.
Important: Do not remove the blade arm during this process.
Gently pull the blade out of the blade arm. The blade is pressed into the arm and should come out with careful pulling.
Slightly lift the blade arm.
Press the new blade gently into the hole of the blade arm.
Open and close the blade several times to ensure smooth operation.
When placing the lip seal on the waste tank, ensure the thinner flange is facing downwards towards the blade.
Place the lip seal on the waste tank.
Screw the seal cover back onto the waste tank using the 8 screws.
For C200 toilets, press both screw covers back onto the seal cover. Ensure alignment.
Reattach the sliding cover, making sure the arrows on the cover are pointing towards each other for correct alignment.
The blade is specifically designed to fit snugly within the blade arm; careful handling is required to avoid damage during removal and installation.
The orientation of the lip seal is crucial for proper sealing and operation. Incorrect installation can lead to leaks or operational issues.
After blade replacement, testing the mechanism's operation by opening and closing the blade ensures that the new blade is correctly installed and functioning as expected.
If the blade does not move smoothly after installation, check to ensure it is correctly seated in the blade arm and that there are no obstructions.
Ensure all screws are securely fastened during reassembly to prevent leaks or loose components.
This guide is designed to provide comprehensive instructions for the replacement of the Thetford toilet blade. For further assistance or more detailed information, technical staff should refer to the manufacturer's guidelines or contact Thetford support directly.
