Gemini Twin Axle Wheel Lock FGT400 - Technical and Customer Service Manual

Warranty Information

Parts Identification & Fitting

Refer to the fitting diagrams (Fig. A to H) for visual guidance on parts and installation procedures.

Installation Steps

  1. Preparation:

    • Before using the product, two of your existing wheel nuts must be removed and replaced with the provided Receiver Wheel Nuts. Ensure these replacement nuts match the specifications of your existing wheel nuts to avoid damage. The sizes of the supplied Receiver Nuts are and . If in doubt, consult the vehicle manufacturer or wheel supplier before installation.
  2. Fitting the Receiver Wheel Nuts:

    • Choose the innermost wheel nuts on each wheel for removal (see Fig. D and E for guidance). The Gemini Wheel Lock can be fitted to any two wheel nut locations, but the innermost positions are recommended for initial installation.
  3. Adjusting the Gemini for Fitting:

    • Determine the required length of the Gemini by installing the Locking Portions into the apertures at the head of both the Outer and Inner Tubes (Fig. A for reference). Secure in place by tightening the Locking Portion Hex Screw using the supplied 5mm Hex Key.
    • Align the Locking Portion with the Receiver Nut on one of the wheels. Adjust the length of the Gemini to ensure the Locking Portion can correctly align with the Receiver Nut on the second wheel (Fig. F for guidance). Each 360 degrees rotation of the Inner Tube adjusts the length by approximately , within a fitting distance range of minimum and maximum .
  4. Securing the Gemini:

    • Once the correct length is achieved, offer up the assembly to the Receiver Nuts, guiding the end of the Locking Portions as far as they will go. Lock them together by rotating the keys anti-clockwise through 180 degrees, then remove both keys. Ensure the heads of both the Outer and Inner Tubes are as tight as possible to the face of the wheels when the Locking Portions are locked into the Receiver Nuts. This ensures optimal protection.
  5. Using Spacer Rings:

    • If there is a gap or the assembly can be pulled away from the face of the wheel, making the Receiver Nuts visible, Spacer Rings must be used to eliminate any gap (Fig. H). Add an equal sum of Spacer Rings to each Tube to ensure the Locking Portions are tightly secured against the wheel face.
  6. Final Checks:

    • After the first kilometers and at regular intervals thereafter, check the Receiver Nut torque settings. Adjust the length of the Gemini Wheel Lock as necessary to accommodate different Receiver Nut locations, following the same adjustment procedure as during the initial setup.
