Technical Specifications and Installation Instructions

Installation Requirements:

• Roof Opening: Requires a minimum 6 1/4 inch diameter.
• Roof Thickness: Suitable for a minimum of 1 inch to a maximum of 6 inches.
• Electrical Requirements: Minimum 12 Volt DC, 2 amp service. Ensure the circuit is fused and uses appropriate gauge stranded wire for connections.

Safety Precautions:

• Use as intended by AIRXCEL, INC.
• Before servicing or cleaning, switch power off and lock the service disconnecting means to prevent accidental power on.
• For general ventilation only. Do not use to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials and vapors.

Installation Steps:

1. Prepare Roof Opening:

   • Remove old vent and sealant around the opening.
   • Apply BUTYL tape or equivalent to the underside of the flange in the provided groove.

2. Install the Fan:

   • Orient the fan with the button toward the front of the coach.
   • Ensure wires are hanging inside the coach.
   • Center the fan in the opening and secure with eight screws provided at each dimple location on the flange.
   • Apply sealant around the perimeter of the flange and over screw heads.

3. Adjust Sleeve Length (if necessary):

   • For roofs thicker than 1 inch, use the extension sleeve.
   • Measure the distance from the vehicle ceiling to the base of the fan and cut the sleeve accordingly.
   • For roofs 1 inch thick, the sleeve is not used. For roofs 6 inches thick, use the full-length sleeve.

4. Wire Connections:

   • For non-LED models, connect the 12VDC supply wires to the fan wires as marked.
   • For LED models, also connect the LED light wires as marked.
   • Secure the garnish ring to the ceiling with provided screws.

Operating Instructions:

• To Open/Close Lid: Push the button on the handle to disengage the clip and slide the handle up or down to open or close the lid.
• Fan Operation: Push the ON/OFF button on the fan to activate the exhaust fan.
• LED Lighting (if applicable): Operated by the push button on the garnish ring. The LED lighting and fan operate independently.

Maintenance:

• Clean with mild soap and water only.
• The screen can be removed for cleaning by unscrewing the four screws. Do not operate the fan with the screen removed.
• The fan has a 5 amp fuse. To replace, turn the fuse cap to the left, replace with a 5 amp, type GMA fast-acting fuse, and secure the cap.
