Installation Instructions

  1. Mounting: Ensure the unit is mounted in a dry, moisture-free environment away from inflammable materials such as fuel lines or exhaust systems. Use the provided 5.5mm eyelet hole for screw mounting or follow best practices for alternative mounting methods. Ensure any socket or spade terminals used are tight and secure.
  2. Connection: Follow the 1, 2, 3 connection procedure detailed below for basic setup. Choose alternative methods (VSR Mode, AS + Remote On/Off) as necessary based on your specific requirements.

Operating Modes

Basic Setup (1, 2, 3 Setup)

  1. Negative: Connect to the vehicle's ground.
  2. Output V+: Connect Pin 2 to the device you wish to control. Ensure Pin 2 (Input V+) is connected to a source directly linked to the charging system.
  3. Input V+: Incorporate a 10A fuse in the connection.

VSR Mode

Use this mode if the alternator cannot be sensed directly (e.g., through a voltage converter). Connect Pin 5 to Negative. The switch will activate above 13V and disconnect at 12.5V.

AS + Remote On/Off

For alternator sensing with an additional On/Off switch or override, connect Pin 5 to Positive. The unit will only activate the output when Pin 4 is connected to Positive and the alternator is charging. Leave Pin 4 floating to keep the output off.

Troubleshooting
